WLI implemented training for social researchers supported by OSI and shared with BWA in civil community organization including the program of "together for protecting violence woman" through 25-26/12/2010.

"The Women Leadership Institute participated in training workshop in Istanbul"

 

 

The Women Leadership Institute participated in training workshop which is held by NCA about laws mechanism and skills, preparing shadows reports for CEDAW agreement through 9-15/12/2010 in Istanbul.

Dr. Sundus Abass presented aside of report governorate draft which is prepared now by Human right ministry and she presented also final recommendations for CEDAW about last report of Iraq which is presented in 2000.

 

 

 

 

    

 

 

 

Strengthening Women's Leadership in Civil Society

 

 

EXECUTIVE Summary

From June 25-27, 2010, the Arab Women's leadership Institute (AWLI) held a training, Strengthening Women's Leadership in Civil Society: Advancing Community & Regional Economic Development, at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman, Jordan. Participants numbered 20 from nine different countries in the Arab region, and AWLI Vice Chair for Civil Society Dr.Sundus Abass from Iraq oversaw the events.

The training concluded with Dr.sundus leading the participants through the steps of an effective strategic plan ,and the women leaders spent the afternoon developing their own

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

"WLI's Participation in Amman Training"

 

With an invitation from Ruaa Net for Arab women, the program assistant Mrs.  Razan Othman (WLI staff) has participated in the training program hold in Amman 16-18 July, 2010 about secularism and civil society, Democracy and civil society. Group of young women from different Arab countries participated in this training.

 

 

 

 

 

    

 

 

 

 

Amman Training

 

With an invitation from the UNFPA, representatives from wli have participated at the documentary, financial, admenesrative training held in Amman with the attendance of seven local organizations and representatives from the NCA for the period 28-30 June, 2010.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Capacity building for civil society organization to improve their contribution towards the national reconciliation.

 

With an invitation from "Insan" organization and with the fund of Finish government and the European Union, WLI beside other local organization have participated in this training. Participants were 22 males and females held in Sulaimaniya for the period 23-29, June, 2010.

"WLI'S Participation in TOT educating to content corruption"

 

 

Within its campaign to eliminate corruption the Relief international organization has conducted a training for trainers regarding the field of educating with the international convention to content corruption and the national strategy to strive it from 24 to 26 April,2010.

The program assistants Mrs. Razan Othman and Mrs. Dounya Ahmed (WLI'S Staff) have participated in this training. 

 

 

 

 

      

 

 

 

"WLI's Participation in Beirut Training"

 

With an invitation from Ruaa Net for Arab women, the program assistant Mrs.  Razan Othman (WLI staff) has participated in the training program hold in Beirut 19-21 march, 2010 about secularism and civil society, Democracy and civil society. Group of young women from different Arab countries participated in this training. The Lecturer was Mr. Mohammed Taib Altaizeny.

 

 

 

         

 

 

WLI's director, Dr. Sundus Abass has participated in the program of empowering leadership women in Iraq hold by the American Institute for peace 20-23, march. 2010 in Beirut.

The program aims at developing women personal skills and empowering then to meet and activate fruity in order to shed light on their goals in Iraq.

Participants of the training have identified wide new net of relationships with active, successful and distinguished women from Iraq and Lebanon also.
